How to be led by the Holy Spirit!
By Jan Kaare Christensen

Room 8 14 All who are led by the Spirit of God, they are God's children.
Eph. 2. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance ready for us to go into them.
1) Not to be led by God
It is a battle to be led by God. To be misled is important to take with you. It is possible to be misled as well. Will not let themselves be led, then the one it nor not.
Psalm 32 8 I will instruct you and show you the way you should go. I let my eyes rest on you and give you advice. 9 Be not like horse and mule that does not have sense. Their savagery must be reined in and clear the bridle, or else do not they come to you.
We are encouraged not to be like horses and mules to be forced. But to allow the Lord to give up our advice with just an eye on it is so intimate community can be.
2) Always in accordance with God's word.
God does not conduct outside of the word but in accordance with the word. We can always be assured that the Lord leads not simply pass the word, but in accordance with the word. Psalm 119 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light unto my path. We must always check and be adjusted by the word of God. I believe that the Lord leads but sometimes there is something from ourselves, then the word and should be adjusted and correct us!
3) Know your limits, beginning in the small.
We read about many great men of God and women in both the Bible and in literature. They experienced many of God in a wonderful manner, but all the way begin to believe God in the little one. We must never believe that God is always doing great things before he do something. We must learn to appreciate the little before we can experience the great. Thankful and grateful people Christians is the world's strongest and happiest people. Luke 16 10 He that is faithful in little, is faithful also in much, and whoever is dishonest in the least, is also dishonest in much. We must be faithful in the small before we can get more experience and even greater things. Are we unfair to the little we will most likely not experience the great. And if we get to experience the great without being true in the small, it's not the way God does it usually and it will then always have some form of bitterness in him.
4) The conscience is God's instrument.
From my background in the free Friends \ Pentecostal movement, it is an area that has been and is very little understanding of, the importance of conscience and how it leads us. When we accept Jesus we get a clean conscience, and it behaves differently than before. It applies only to never go against their conscience in some areas of life, it is an instrument of God and through it God speaks. Paul laid careful to never hurt her conscience. Take time in silence and listen to your conscience, it will guide you and warn you against what you do and lead you to what to do.
5) Do what you know to be rich and you want to.
God is all Joy God. He leads you and me through joy. Do you want a service then it is a gift God has given you. We're not talking about carnal lust, but pure and wholesome pleasure. God gives us delight in the things we do and hate what we should not do when we have a good and pure conscience. One opens up for the others, this applies both positively and negatively. Do you have a bad conscience, so is your spiritual life in the dark and you can not expect to be led by God in a right way. I'm not talking about salvation here, you can be gloriously saved yet without passing God's will for your life. But the best thing is to be a wonderful save, and lovely loose and set free.
1. Joh. b. 3 19 How will we know that we are of the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in His presence. 20 For even though the heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart and know everything. 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep His commandments and do what is for his good will.
6) Use what you have and have not.
It is important and necessary to not be completely over excited and dreamy when God will lead you. Tell me what you have in the house, asked the Prophet? It was the widow was going to use, no more or less. Use you also what you have and have not. Do not live in a castles in the air but try to find God's path for your life in a concrete, simple and straightforward manner. That is what will work best and is the Lord's will. But God sends more staff to you, so do you also use them, most people have a family and have friends, do you use them and play on teams with them. God leads you out from the situation you are in and have, not what your dreams and desires. Dreams and wishes are important, they might be the incentive and as a goal. But use the talents and gifts God has given you.
Rom. 12. 3 By virtue of the grace I have received, I say to every one of you: Do you not bigger thoughts than you should, but use your mind and be sober! Each one should stick to the measure of faith God has given him.
7) The circumstances to speak for or against you.
God is not so that everything will always be against us, but rather for us. It may well be that the Lord will blow ports, mountains and much more for us. And fed us in the wilderness, but then it is important to wait until this happens and not run ahead of God. Circumstance will and must go with us, or so we ran in front of God. And we do not have to push either in God or others, but only to make our needs known, the Lord will do the rest and work forward.
8) You will thrive in God.
There are those who believe that everything God does will be difficult and one should not feel like it. God will lead you to a spouse so one should feel uncomfortable with them. That is not God! God does that we will thrive and have a passion to do His will. God is good and makes goods says the Psalmist. Do you feel like you have the law says the adage. This may of course be abused, but God wants us to be happy to go with him. Although it can sometimes be quite as battle will be the keynote that this is well and that you, not out of reluctance but of joy.
Psalm 73 28 But for me it's good to be close to God. I take refuge in the Lord. I will witness your deeds.
9) The Holy Spirit will testify.
Rom. 8. 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
This testifies that the Spirit is of course very important. We have God's Spirit on the inside and he witnesses. You want to feel palpitations, you are warm and clammy, or anything else. It is God who works in you, then it will be marked on one or more ways. I know it very often with palpitation and heart beats a faster phase. This is an individual, but one learns that as one becomes familiar with and go out there know in their mind.
10) The intuition
God leads us through an inner light that I call intuition. If this is so we know a prior notice of what is right, what will happen, etc. And when we do not do and be. This notice is also available as an inner voice, so you need one to be taught to hear and be was for the voice.
11) Spirit of God speaks directly.
This is very rare, but there is a possibility, God speaks directly by the Spirit. We must be open to God and leader in many different ways.
Acts 10. 19 Peter still thought the vision, the Spirit said to him: "Here are three men who ask for you. 20 Hurry up and go down, you should accompany them without hesitation, for I have sent them. "21 Peter went down to the men and said:" It's me you ask for. Why are you come here? "
12) supernatural manifestations.
Dreams, visions, engleåpenbarelse, rapture, and much more. All of this, we must expect that God will guide us. Evangelist Philip got to experience something great when God commanded him, he was jerked away. God is the same and do the same today too, only we believe and are open to him.
Acts 8. 39 Then they step out of the water, pulled out Spirit of the Lord Philip and the eunuch saw him no more. He continued his happy journey. 40 But Philip was seen again in Ashdod, and he preached the gospel in all the cities he went through, all the way to Caesarea.
Why be led by the Holy Spirit?
1) Through it to be led by God, we learn first and foremost to know God. And also for ourselves and other people. There are many times through a no from the Lord and a yes from the Lord that we understand how he is and what he thinks. We believe that God does not answer, but he always responds. If he does not respond then it is something he will have put us through it too.
2) It seems to the edification of us.
We need to be headed for ourselves or so we go wrong and being misled on the road. God wants to take every one of us by the hand and to guide and steer us in the ready-made works. We need first to be blessed even before we can help make others so.
3) When others are soft we slaked.
There is a greater blessing to help others and to be of help to them than we realize. God has created us to fellowship and when God leads us, as he directs us very often so that we bless others and is helpful for them! People will see our good deeds and be saved!
All this will God's guidance by His Spirit lead. That people get to meet God through our lives and we even get to experience him, under the bare, big and it is a reality for all of us in Christ Jesus!
